Fabia throttle flatspot

Featured Replies

Hi. Just bought a Fabia 1.4 16v on a UK W plate (2000). Great car, but timed the purchase wrong as it needed the timing belt changed (done). There is a flat spot on the throttle - light pressure on the accelerator from idle produces no change in engine revs - then it catches up. Same trying to hold it at 2000 revs in neutral - the engine revs either side but doesn't settle. Any suggestions on what this could be?

Thanks all.

Welcome to Briskoda, not sure what your problem could be with the car, but sure someone will come along and answer this for you.
