locking wheel nuts HELP!

Featured Replies

i have lost th locking wheel nut key (left it in the wheel when i took my wheel off). how can i get the thing out? and can i get a new key from anywhere? help greatly appreciated!!

Think its going to be an expensive job. That happened to someone I work with. All be it on a Renault. Think they had to drill them off and do some welding. It might be an idea to contact Skoda direct . Good luck

On the factory fitted locking wheelnuts there are only 10 combinations, a dealer will likely have a master set comprising of 10 keys. They'll try each one until they find the correct one and can order a replacement, each one is marked with a number for identification.

On my old Toyota they had air-gunned the lockers on, so when I came to get them off my key just churned up, took it to the garage and they had a set of master keys and were able to get them off. If not try and get an old imperial socket and try hammering that over the top, that can sometimes work, or if you go to halfords they sell a locking wheel nut removal tool!

lot of tyre places offer removal now...one down road from us does it, not sure how much it is though...
