What's it worth?

Featured Replies

Bit of help please folks, my first time on the grown up forum so be nice! :giggle:

I have found a 51 plate TDI Octavia Ambiente estate for sale locally and I have no idea if it's a decent price;

89k miles, 12 months MOT and tax, towbar with electrics, dog guard, 4 decent tyres on steel wheels ... £2300

What do you think ?

Shows the trade in for the car to be 1200-1500 depending on condition

tow bar would cost you > £100 fitted so that doesn't seem too much of a mark up

have you looked on Autotrader - are there similar cars you can compare against

Obviously depends upon condition, history and so on and so on.......... The estate always comes at a premium. In very general terms the price looks about right to me. My brother recently bought very similar type/age vehicle for a price near to that offered to you.<div><br></div><div>Good luck.</div>

Seems about right. Maybe haggle down to 2000-2100.

I've been looking for months but they seem to disappear REALLY quickly, it's seriously popular car.

I may be wrong, but from what I've seen value seems to have more to do with supply and demand than condition/mileage ?

By the way ... It's metallic gold :(

Not too bad a price really. My L&K estate on an 02 plate with slightly higher miles was nudging £3k.

Seems like a good price, especially seeing as most of the ones for sale seem to have over 100k miles on the clock.
