hi i have an 05 fabia vrs 91000 miles

it has just developed a terrible noise from p/s front its not all the time

more when turning ? than up and down if ur in p/seat u can feel it through the floor

its not cv joint noise more a cracking sort of noise

i know from these description its hard but all help would be great and an ideas

i have changed top mount on strut new

new bottom ball joint

new anti roll bar bushes

new drop link

put new cupra console bushes in a couple of months back

I had a similar problem on my TDI Octy 130 bhp ASZ engine , a few months back , whenever putting it on full lock for parking etc would get a horrible noise and vibration through steering wheel , was convinced it was power steering pump , it was due a cambelt change , so i asked them to have a look . Was told that the Pulley on the Alternator was the problem . And as they had the tinme belt off pluse waterpump change they could do a Pulley replacement ( they are a seperate item on the octy iwas told and can be replaced without changing the Alternator , and put on a new Aux belt , which i was planning anyway . Parts and labour added £50 to my expected cambelt change . This was with an VW Indy that i have used for the last few services Car is on 120k miles

its more u can here it, it sounds if something is being crunched

i thought steering rack but ok

am baffled

Check steering angle sensor signal, and PAS pump. Also PAS fluid level.

as the noise is coming from pass side and the power steering pump on the drivers side

would the noise come from that side cheers again mark

Mine was replaced at around 62,500 miles - the Skoda dealer I broke down near offered a Skoda part or a pattern part at a lot less...

I had one give up on my old 54 plate polo, sounds like a grumbling/scraping noise, noise increases when turning, can sometimes feel it feed back through the car to the cabin.

it does make that kind of sound

did it do it all the time or some times

and does it not make a wearing sound like a normal wheel bearing
