Front Grill

Featured Replies

I am thinking of changing the front grill on my 1.4 Classic

This is what I am thinking of putting on, will this just slot on over the grill?

Tad confused and new to the world of car modding too

- allows your engine to be heated faster

you're basically reducing the cool air going into the engine bay, I honestly dont think this is a good mod...when your really giving the car some beans or even sat in traffic, i would imagine this could cause problems.

Just my opinion. And by the looks yes it does just slot over.

Woa, im not entirely sure why you would want to "allow your engine to be heated faster" :wonder:

I was just thinking pure only looks!

And yeah I was wondering about the engine heating up quicker, will that be alot of an issue?

Only if the car was regularly used in sub zero temparatures somewhere overseas and cold

could I see any sense in this mod... Norway and Sweden spring to mind. :D

Suppose it would keep stones/debris out of the rad too??

I don't think they had UK cars in mind when whoever it was dreamed up this product.

I wouldnt think the heating up speed is a major concern, the fact the it is heating up faster is a direct result of less cooling, which IMO is an issue, things over heat = things break.

Not sure I think its a cool look myself, although different.

So not really worth the money then lads?

The first time you're sat in solid traffic on a hot summer day....

You'll probably wish you hadn't bothered.

Maybe instead keep the slatted original grille, remove the chrome piece

and have it vinyl wrapped or painted. That's a very popular mod on here...
