Skoda Configurator Now On-line

Featured Replies

Just noticed that SUK have a launched a new configurator on their website, and pretty good it is to.

Also allowing you to add a panoramic sunroof to the options list.

You're right BA....................

I thought the panoramic sunroof had been withdrawn until at LEAST next year :o

So the 1.4 TSI 120 BHP 6G Man is now available.....

Electric memory seats added too! (£500) - includes electric folding mirrors?

Wow.....just dialled in my 170 elegance order and the pics show lovely wood effect trim on the dash, not the dull silver.I thought we couldn't spec that in the UK?No prizes for quessing my preferance. :smirk:

The Skoda website isn't exactly renowned for its accuracy, especially on things like specifications and accessories (remember the picture of the clutch pedal on a Mk2 Fabia VRS, for example) - maybe it's just wrong?

They've clearly been listening to the many criticisms of their website and this is much better.

It's worth waiting for the Skoda UK homepage to load just to see the little fanfare for the Yeti!

Dealers still laugh if you mention the Panoramic roof, when I ordered mine (mid June) the dealers I contacted would not even accept orders if you wanted it.

You can't get the sunroof and I'm looking into the electric drivers seat and electric wing mirrors option.

Many thanks for that clarification James, does this mean that dealers will NOT accept any orders where the punter insists on a sunroof? Are we looking at January 2011 before the situation changes?

I am researching a 1.4 Yeti SE with a few options added, what are the lead times like?

Been into two local dealers this week with regard to our soon to be Furby collection :giggle: but as one does the conversation switched to discussing Monsters. Both quoted late January build if you were to order now :o

Yup that came direct from the horses mouth at Skoda UK only 2 weeks ago !!!

Lest see someone order one and see ?

Ah I see people have tried ! - its probably just another website gaff that lets you order one.

I hope they are bringing in the Electric Memory seat. Just need that and a fuel burning Parking Heater and the Rangie is no longer needed. :)

You forgot to mention the 5mpg :D

To what extent do we trust this build-your-own facility? I ordered my SM 3 weeks ago, Cappuccino with Onyx interior but am still wondering whether to try and change interior to Gobi. On the configurator it now shows Gobi interior with rather tacky imitation wood trim on dash - I think the black with matt silver is rather more tasteful! But is this how it would be? Dealers seem to have little clue! And can you now really order electric memory driver's seat/folding mirrors? Again, my dealer denies this even when directed to the website.

My bet is that SUK in typical fashion copied the European configurator verbatim and this there are things like a sunroof, tacky plastic wood and electric seats in there. I won't get my hopes up if anyone wants any of these options.

I'm also suspicious of the configurator on the SUK website.

Phoned SUK on Fri 030910 to ask about delivery dates and sunroof availability (I'm about to order a Superb estate 4 x 4 - would like a Yeti but need more space) and was told Jan 2011 for delivery plus pan roof (on the Superb estate at least) was not currently available to order but probably will be early next year.

The advice was to tellmy dealer that I would like a pan roof and if it gets re- introduced before the cutoff point in my build date, I could add it to the order. Then lo and behold the very next day the pan roof is shown on SUK's new configurator. Something about left hand and right hand there I think.

Anyway, I'm going to the dealers tomorrow to order, I will post an update after that (on this thread as well as the Superb).

Mark.

I suspect if I tried to order a Yeti with the sunroof option it would get rejected by the factory and if it didn't I suspect delivery would be between March and September 2011. That's about an accurate as I can be. I don't think the sunroof will appear again in the brochure until well into next year.

I shall let you all know tommorow about the electric memory seat and folding wing mirrors option.

I was talking about this at the dealers today and I was told Panoramic sunroof builds won't be due until at least mid 2011.

It's a shame the Elegance doesn't/can't have the electric memory seat, it would top the spec off nicely.

The configurator looks like it navigates away from the UK site to cc.skoda-auto.com which defaults to the Czech config page.

I doubt its 100% accurate as I just specced a heated screen to a 1.2TSI..............

Any definitive news yet on whether UK cars can have electric driver seat/folding mirrors?

As mentioned earlier in this thread I am updating the order situation: visited Silbury Skoda today. Ordered the following: Superb estate Elegance 170CR 4x4 manual: Aqua blue with Ivory leather/ black carpets. Various options inc sunset glass, parking sensors, sound system, HFS etc. Didn't bother with the park assist as I had this on my last Superb and never used it once. The sensors are useful though.

Estimated delivery mid Jan 2011. Definately unable to order the pan roof at this stage but dealer will let me know if this situation changes before my car gets too close to its build date to allow me to add this option.

Confirmed the same for the Yeti so if anyone is thinking of ordering a pan roof on the strength of the configurator on SUK's website, sorry to disappoint you but it's wrong.

Dealer agreed with me, whats the point in having an option on the configurator when you can't order it.

Other errors on the configurator include showing a retractable parcel shelf (really a boot cover) available for £50. it's fitted as standard. Also config. doesn't show option of heated washer jets for £35. These are still available (and essential if last winter is anything to go by)

I also asked the dealer to supply a net pack for the boot and a set of 'premium mats'. If you get these as factory options Skoda thoughtfully charge £30 and £9 more respectively for the same items!

For anyone interested in the 'KESSY' option (I didn't go for it) I saw the dealer bulletin which advised that ordering this would cause a longer delivery time (it didn't say how much longer or why)

Hope that helps. I appreciate it's mostly relevant to the Superb but order times are about the same give or take a couple of weeks.

Mark

Thankfully Skoda UK don't actually make the cars.

Just imagine what sort of mess they'd be in - a bit like the UK car industry of the 70's and 80's  y

YES

I was told today I can add to my order.
