Both of which are 2 litre turbo petrol, the first pic came with a 2 litre diesel with 177bhp option

If it was the below RS 250bhp, he probably wasn't trying, I encountered one that was giving it some and got

no joy :giggle:

Is that an Astra VXR? :giggle:

To be honest the new Megane rs250 is a cracking car and not to be sniffed at. I would definitely have one if the funds permitted!

Its still French though

Better than a Vauxhall

Better than a Vauxhall

laugh all you want, it still better than every other hot hatch on the market.

as for the OP, you obviously never got close to see the renault sport badge lol. if he did try he would litterally have disappeared from sight lol. he was probbly just cruising along in 6th whilst you were giving it some :giggle:

You're having a laugh aren't you? He wasn't trying.

Go and test drive one, see for yourself

He was trying as much as you would to beat a kia picanto up a hill! (not much ;) )

The RS R225's are phenomenal cars. Arguably one the best hot hatch driving experiences for a modern car anyway. They're very quick, but thats not the point. Their main merit is the fact they will hold the road like **** on a tyre tread. I imagine the new 250 must be pretty good too :) I'd like to see an point-to-point between a 172 and a mapped VRS, but i think i know the outcome already. :smirk:

You mustn't mock the Renaultsports, they're a different ball game, really. They're handbuilt in the Alpine factory, in Dieppe, screwed together well. The electrics are still shockingly bad... but you can't have everything your own way, eh? :(

Don't knock the Renault sport range. They know how to build great drivers cars.

The old shape Clio is more reliable than my fabia.

Really? It was the reliability of the 172/182 that put me off getting one in favour of a VRS. That and the economy.
