Koni or Eibach?

Featured Replies

I would like to get a set of uprated springs rather than coilovers, but before I do, would really appreciate your opinions.

Eibachs would drop the car by 25mm whereas the Koni's offer a 40mm drop.

Where the look of the Koni's would be better, would the ride be drastically different (uncomfortable) compared with the Eibach's?

.......your opinions/ideas much appreciated!! ;)

Eibachs are suppost to be the best for comfort.

Everyone running eibachs rate them highly. I think in a way you have to choose between wanting comfort or looks. Springs will give you better handling, and keep the comfort level, but will do very little for the looks side of thinks, the fabia is wayyyyy too high as standard. If your after a bigger drop, and much better handling, then you need coilovers tbh, accepting that it`ll be a tad more stiff. My fabia on coilovers is more comfortable than my ST is standard.

Thanks for your advice Matt.

I guess with coilovers you can adjust the height/comfort levels too.

Are you running with Eibach coilovers and if so, what sort of drop have you got?

Thanks

It depends on the kit you get, theres a lot more choice of coilovers than springs. The more expensive kits are damper adjustable, but the difference between the different kits are massive comfort wise. I have eibach coilovers, and my mates Kw`s on his fabia are much stiffer. Best bet is to search as much as you can on reviews and ask people who run them, if theres anyone near you running a kit your thinking about, im sure they`ll take you for a spin to see how you find it.

Sounds like a set of Eibach coilovers are the way forward! ;)

Just need to find someone in the Blackpool area who has a set fitted! :D (Or onroute to Ilkley on the way to work)!

all springs for fabia vrs lower 25-30 mm!

if it says 40mm (bearing in mind the vrs is 15mm lower than a standard car anyway) these will drop a non vrs 40mm and a vrs 25mm (40mm - 15mm)

just bear this in mind when looking
