New vRS Estate

Featured Replies

Collecting my new Corrida Red vRS Estate tomorrow - my previous Skoda many years ago, was an Green Estelle which the kids called a wheelie bin !!

My car is the first new style vRS they have delivered - only ordered it 2 weeks ago :-)

Not surprising as the garage boss' wife has hihjacked the demo car !!!!

Had a quick test drive - the DSG gearbox is amazing

Has the following extras:

Full Weather (Climate Control)

Dark Chrome Alloys

Blue Tooth Prep

Cruise Control

Rear Parking Sensors

Congratulations , will be interesting to see your photos.

You're one lucky man, delivery two weeks from ordering??? Why the inconsistencies with build dates/delivery times, only Skoda can answer that..............I'm convinced the workforce are cannabis smokers as this would explain this craziness! :giggle:

P.S I remember the old Skoda's very well.... my orange 105 Lux often got called a skip ,but it was a bloody reliable car.

Looking forward to seeing the piccies.

Good luck today

My wifes car is scheduled to be built in week 39...Is that 27th Sept???? Not sure

Piccies are mandatory!

All the best for the pick up

Im surprised to see climate control, cruise control and parking sensors as options on the vRS, I would have thought they were standard like on my Elegance as thevRS is the "ultimate" model. Nice choice of colour and wheels though!

Yes enjoy picking up what I reckon is gonna be a rare niche vehicle in estate form with no immediate rivals that I can think of and that is why I too ordered a new candy white vRS estate a couple of weeks ago. At that time I was offered a red estate which was due to be shipped and I guess is the same vehicle that EvilcB ordered - there were 2 identical red estates due in the country, so well done to EvilcB for snapping one up.I admit to being greedy and having celebrated a special birthday wanted to treat myself to something special and so ticked all of the option boxes, except metallic that is.So all I can say is enjoy - I was lucky enough to drive the vRS hatch around Millbrook last June at speeds slightly in excess of 100mph and it is just great!......and get some photos posted pronto - can't wait to see them including the boot insides - not sure why Skoda doesn't offer variable boot floor on the vRS estate?Cheers Andy

Excellent!!

That was a stock car I tried to sell to a customer went back in the following day once I had the go ahead and it had gone, at least it's gone to a good home!

I like the vRS estate from the brouchure I received on it it looks like a real sleeper in the right colour, think if I was going for one I would spec it in silver.

There has been so little said so far about the vRS estate I thought it was never comng.!

Did you manage to get a test drive in one ?

+1 for "this needs pictures"

In my comparisons, I would need to spend a further £750 on extras for the VRS to match the 1.2tsi dsg Elegance spec. Coupled with no VAT offer and greater basic price, this makes a VRS just under £4.5k more expensive!

It is difficult to justify the price difference, unless dealers are discounting the VRS.

Although there is something about a VRS estate that appeals to me far more than the hatchback. It's lighter and people just wouldn't expect a Skoda Estate to go that fast...

:rofl: Its brilliant when some` herberts` look at you sideways and go`` oh yer old fart in a Skoda this should be easy`` then you kick in 105bhp and wave em bye bye...............priceless :rofl:

Hum, so that makes the vRS £7k more expensive than my car even with the options!!!!

Oh mine totally embarrased a local Fiesta driver last night - tired to overtake me just as it was coming on boost and Wooooosh, off I went and he got left behind. So funny when he pulled up behind me in the garage to get fuel and he went bright red when I said it was a 1.2!

Should think your vRS will be indecently rapid - although watch out for the paddles on the wheel - i bumped the downshift paddle twice trying to flash the lights to say thankyou to people for letting me through on my test drive of the hatch version and nearly crashed because it took off like a scalded cat!

The vRS is 180BHP (ish).... :)

Yes it is 178 to 180bhp depending which article you read and very accessible I found the power with the combo of the DSG box and the supercharger/turbocharger arrangement - indecently responsive!

Havn't actually seen a Fabia vRS estate in the flesh yet, so can't wait for the piccies of the red one that EvilcB is picking up today.

If anyone comes across pictures of a candy white Fabia vRS estate, then let me know, I'd be really grateful to see what I've committed to buy!

Cheers Andy

oh you should try the revo re-map then!

Apparently on their mapped Ibiza Cupra is good for 215-220bhp!

Would think that would make an indecently rapid vRS.

what was the engine in the fiesta, did it look like normal fiesta or st?

it was actually a local ST which really surprised me that even the little 1.2 could blast away from it, I would have got a vRS myself but I couldnt be bothered to wait as I am impatient and I prefer a manual!

Some quick pictures - will upload more if requested to

Still getting used to having a redundant left foot, have only "changed gear"

once - the brakes are fierce when you stamp on the pedal with a size 11 shoe !!

Looking good. Love the idea of a nippy little estate :)

Nice. One of the few colours I think those wheels really suit. You'll probably be one of the first on the road with a fab vrs estate! :)

Really gr8 photos EvilcB - nice one!

Some photos of the front and rear seats would be good?

Have you used the MDI and the Bluetooth yet - if so which phone and MP3 player do you use and how well do they work, particularly in respect of accessing the phone book entries?

Cheers and enjoy your new car - I'm envious and hope mine arrives before December, though somehow can't see this happening! Andy

That is a very nice looking Estate you have there!

Stunning, just stunning.
