Problems with VAG-COM

Featured Replies

I connected to my Fabia VRS and changed turned the anti hijack function on. I also turned on on the beep on unlock but then went to turn on beep when I lock it but when I go into Cent. Conv section it comes up with Cannot open something and asks if I want to retry.

I have run the OBD-II test and theat is ok, and it will also complete an Auto-Scan.

Any ideas from anyone please????

I don't know much about vag com , but if i go into my dealers would he be able to switch on the beeping thingy for locking and unlocking?

i think there r few upthere. Put a post up and see who is willing to help

Does your OBD II plug have a switch, if so try it both ways. If not does central conv not open at all? If this is the case I would say take it to the dealers and plead ignoranceabout why it was happening and see if they can sort it out.

Before you do this, run a fault diagnostic to see if it even recognises cent conv first.

Are you using a serial or a USB cable? I've heard of problems with the USB cable in the past..........

I don't think it's that myself, as I had this problem with mine earlier on this year, and it turned out the Cent Conv controller had gone wrong, and I got it replaced under warrenty.

Where is the OBDII port, on the Fabia vRS?

It is behind the pull down panel with the pen holder in next to the drivers right knee.

Yep pull the chilled drinks can holder down and then pull it again. Should reveal a purple socket - this is the ODBII socket :)

I had a look today so do you open the pen holder thing first?

I disconnected the battery for a few mins and when I reconnected I could access it all fine. Thanks for the help.

All you need to do is pull down the glove box to the right of the steering wheel until it has gone past the catch that keeps it from falling out.
