Service Costs

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just scouting round for service and cambelt costs, and have been quoted £85.47 from skoda in Warrington for a standard 10k service on my VRS. Does this seem too cheap too anyone else?? Im not complaining but I just don't want any nasty surprises. I also got them down to £370 for cambelt and water pump... does this seem reasonable? My local VW specialist wants £350 max but the service cost is £147 from him (hence my surprise at Skoda's cost). Skoda only want £20 for an MOT too which is good.

I'll probably go with the dealers if this service cost seems right. What do you reckon??

Cheers

Marc

I'd snap the dealers hand off tbh

I probably will do to be fair... courtesy car too (reckon I could blag a VRS??). I was just worried that the service cost may be wrong and I wasn't getting the correct thing.

Cheers

Marc

My first service at the Skoda dealers last year was about £80 - all it really was was an oil and filter change, next one about £150 and the last one around £230ish.

Hopefully next one will be back to £80!

Are you sure they're both quoting for a 10,000 Inspection Service or is one or both just a 10,000 mile Oil Service?

£85.47 is FAR too cheap for an Inspection Service...

Oil change service = 0.70 hours

Inspection Service = 2.20 hours
