Half way towards a seat ugrade

Featured Replies

I take it the front seats just unplug, and the new ones plug straight in without any messing about with the tensioners/airbags?

I remember talking to the dealer when the LE's were coming through. They came from the seat trimmer with the airbags disconnected and so the dealer had to connect things up, and then reset everything presumably via VCDS

Nothing needs resetting - providing you do not put the ignition on with an airbag (seat) disconnected, ideally the battery should be disconnected anyway.

Oh and they do look nice!

Now that is NICE! Those look very very good, and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result. I take it the front seats just unplug, and the new ones plug straight in without any messing about with the tensioners/airbags?

Cheers Mike - I'm hoping they are just plug and play

Are the new seats heated/electrically operated?

Neither - just 'bog standard' leather ;)

Very envious of you now Bryan............reckon that's it with the mods now, or have you any other ideas in mind?

Can't think of much else I could do really - would like a Golf R32 DSG lever, but I don't think it's a straightforward transplant, so that's probably not going to be a viable option

It's amazing how many 'best mates' you get when there's the possibility of a vRS interior up for grabs

Bryan.........You can never have too many Best Mates, Believe me

They look great...the seats nearly swung me for one of the limited editions when I bought my VRs FL...plus the fact that I could have had a new CRD hatch LE for £16.995! :o

The FL shape, xenons & the fact that my wife must have a warm bum swung me back, but I've always wanted a set of those 'Batman' seats! :-)

Have got the rears in so far - fronts will follow in due course
