Oil in boost hoses

Featured Replies

How much oil should be blown through the boost hoses? I checked mine today and there was quite a bit of oil sitting in the bottom of the intercooler to manifold pipe. I have been losing oil but I think that was from a leaky oil sump plug that I have tightened now. However I keep getting a fault code of P0299 and have fitted the latest revision Diverter valve. I am wondering if a faulty N75 valve would cause this fault or if my turbo seals have gone? The boost hoses have no obvious tears in them etc.emoticon-0114-dull.gif

wouldnt worry too much about a bit of oil within the pipes unless its litteraly pouring out, its quite normal, they usually do have a bit of oil gathering in the bottom boost pipe out of the intercooler!

Thanks mate! Wasn't too sure as it seemed to be more than my old Fabia VRS had ion the pipes. I was wondering if my rear pcv valve had failed, as that would lead to extra oil around the DV and in the boost pipes?

Check the valve anyway but sounds pretty normal like, if you take the boost pipes off and oil is literally pouring out then theres a prolem lol

I replaced everything on my car to standard (apart from the remap) and still got the fault code. Then I changed the N75 valve and I have no fault codeemoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif The car goes like a rocket now and I'm loving it. I have noticed that since taking off the BSH revamp and Neuspeed pipe, my car does 2mpg less on fuel. Though I'm still considering whether or not to put the BSH and Neuspeed back on or leave as is? The car goes very well and I think I might leave well alone apart from the remapemoticon-0138-thinking.gif
