sorry if the post seems unclear. When I plug my ipod into the aux socket under the armrest the cars radio does not pick it up. nav. cd and radio all work. any ideas???

Is the sat nav factory fit?

Have you selected the Aux input on the sat nav?

How have you connected the player to the socket? Via the headphone socket?

yes factory sat nav...i have plugged in the ipod via the aux connection by cable. the car does not pick this up and i cant find the aux setup tab in the sat nav....any ideas?? the manual i have is not the exact one for my sat nav...mine has teo buttons each side of the screen the one in the manual has 3.

You need to select aux on the headunit as it will not pick it up automatically. Not sure how to do it on the sat nav version but the normal HU has an AUX button. Is there a source button or something similar that will pull up a menu to select aux?

Which model Sat Nav do you have?

On the Columbus press the Media button and then select AUX on the touch screen (this works on the Bolero too)

Take a pic, and post it on here then we will know which unit you have.

The satnav maybe an OEM system, but many owners retrofit them replacing the original headunit.

If the system has been retrofitted, then its possible that the person doing this has not swapped the required pins on the ISO connector at the back of the headunit. The Aux-in is in a different location on both the MFD2 / MFD3 nav units and Stream MP3.
