What width tyres on 19 inch wheels

Featured Replies

Hi all, i have been looking for a spare zenith 18 inch wheel for my vRS as one has had it, but cant find one for decent money so looks like i will be selling the 3 off individually and getting a set of 19 BBS CH's (gonna be painted black or more likely anthracite :) on silver car) and wondering if i can fit 235 width tryes (will be 235:35:19) or if i have to stick to 225 to avoid rubbing?

I will be fitting coilovers eventually and want to drop the ride height by as much as comfortably possible so be greatful if anyone can help with this one.

i was in my local steelers on friday and they told me 18 zeniths were £140 each

Thats cheap if they are.

My standard 17" wheels were 250 each and the 18" LCR alloys are 360 each...lol

The OEM 18" Zenith wheels are indeed only £140 each new from the dealer, as I looked into getting some for my old Octy.

235 wide tyres rub like nobodys business on the Octy, I was glad to get rid of them from a set of 18" wheels I had. Even with little load in the back they rubbed the arches quiet badly.

Right will def go for the 225 then as will be carrying fom time to time. Cheers for the replies lads

Will depends on the width of the 19" wheel too. Are they 8J wide?

I'd fit 225s if I could, but the profile will fairly minimal, as it'll need to be a 225/35/19 IMO. Not a lot of sidewall there

Cheers,

Steve
