Dashboard beep when opening door but should it?

Afternoon,

The dashboard alarm has come on a couple of times randomly on my Fabia VRS when I've opened the door. The strange thing is that I haven't left the lights on. Would there be any other reason why the alarm should go on. There doesn't appear to be any dashboard lights flashing at me?

Any ideas for a noob?

Did you leave the indicator on left or right? It's telling you that you have the parking light on.

Yeah checked that but it wasn't on at the time...

The keys were out of the ignition too.

Jeez, I'm going to have to double check now! I'm sure that the indicator wasn't on.
