Does anybody know if dealers will adjust the steering weight? I'm finding mine far too light and really need it to be quite a bit heavier. I remember a thread a while ago which showed that it could be adjusted using VAGCOM but haven't got access to one.

It can be, but normally the Fabia is set from the factory on the heaviest setting, unless its been altered.

Mine has only done 4500 miles and hasn't been adjusted so it's on factory settings I presume. I really can't belive it's on the heaviest setting though 'cause it's much too light for me. My last car was a Xantia Activa and even that was heavier!!

Yes they can, its a simple plug in and check the coding of the steering ECU.

Takes five secs to reprogram if need be. The coding table is in the workshop manuals if they need it.
