That makes a change, Black cab "drivers" bleating about being

hard done by and sharing the lane with private hire cars.

No doubt there will be a series of protests by our terribly hard done by cabbies.

I suppose it means less time on the golf course for them after all.

I was a bus driver in Central London for 3 years and I can't stand cabbies.

They claim to be professional drivers but as far as I can see they just take 4 years

to learn a map by heart thats it.... Their driving doesn't really get beyond a normal

car drivers abilities. And how many do you see these days using satnavs anyway.

I did a 6 week/ 8 hours a day intensive course of driving tuition before I got my bus licence.

Taxi drivers? More like Tax evaders....

Who cares? The Bus lane was a waste of time. Four lanes will be better than three if they are used sensibly and people do not continue to hog outside lanes and not use inner lanes.

This is london, the can't even use one lane properly most the time, never mind having lane discipline on more than one.

Even buses dont use bus lanes, or even bus lay bys most of the time in London.

The times I sat on the M4 for HOURS and never saw a single bus or taxi use it.
