Are these any good? New headlights.

Featured Replies

Looking for a quick responce!

My headlights on my car have had it, they're somehow peeling and the one is misting up so I'm going to buy a new set today, hopefully! Do you think these headlights are ok (Quality & looks)?

Any responce from all Briskodians please!

linky do

Also what's with the different years: '99-'03, 2000-2005, 2000-2007? They all look the same. Will they all fit mk1 Fab vrs

Look ok, just make sure they are for rhd.

I did not think Shoda changed the headlights through the years, so they should fit. I know there was a change in rear light design in 2005.

As above, make sure they are from a Right Hand Drive car.

The part numbers given on the page are for RHD.

I know there was a change in rear light design in 2005.

For clarification the change occurred to what one might call "MY05" introduced September 2004 during the facelift transition period. However they're interchangeable with the older ones and surprisingly given the little change, look much better

Sorry to go off topic...

TBH I greatly prefer the pre facelift rear clusters myself.

Took me a while to find a good set for the right price but with what I had in mind

for them they were ideal....

Back on topic... OP, I'm sure you've spotted that these lights seem to be sold individually at that

price haven't you??? That's nearly £140 for the pair if they are also shipped seperately

at £10 each delivery. Is this really the cheapest way to do it??

Or do you just like those particular ones?

I like the idea of painted inners too but I'd hate to do it myself...

Don't know what to do with my headlights really but want to do something :D

I've freshened my car up to how I want it since I bought it back in May. I've renewed all the badges, fitted retro wipers all round, new plates, new mats, new parcel shelf strings, new bulbs all round, chrome indicators, ultra white interior lights, refurbed the alloys, had the seats brought back to new, better cd player, Cupra splitter, colour coded grill, tinted windows. The car looks how I want it except for the headlights that look really dull & misty. So after doing all this, I may aswell finish with fresh new headlights!!

I'm gonna buy them! I'll put before & after pics up for you soon!! ;)

Much better deal than advertised then, good work

If your good one is drivers side, in good nick and the price is sensible

I may be able to put you in touch with an interested party ;)

However he may read this and buy a pair like yours for that price :D

Funnly enough, the good one is the drivers side! To save on a bit of money I had them sent economy delivery, so I won't have them until Friday probs & knowing me Mr. Impatient, they'll be on Friday night.

Also, means I'm running a black & red theme, how did you tint the clear bits on the rear lights? I fancy doing that to mine ;)
