Update with the coilovers

Featured Replies

Hey, purchased coilovers a few weeks back from Awesome GTI, there the weitec GT's and then took them for fitting at AFH1 in Mansfield next to Shark Performance.

Thought i would put up some recent photos of the car. The front needs dropping a little more but im waiting for a replacement adjuster so it will go a little lower when that arrives. The ride is firm but not to harsh and definitly not bouncy, and it handles better than before. Money well spent i think :)

Nice and low :)

However I'd prefer it set higher.

Looks great B)

I need some coilovers in my life!

Out of interest, is is fully dropped at the rear? If not, how much lower do you reckon it'll go?

cheers

Watch the sump over speed bumps

Looks pretty low at the back for weitecs with the adjuster cups still in place, although the angle he's parked at helps i think emoticon-0148-yes.gif

You've officially changed my mind on black wheels fitted to black cars, your cars bloody lovely!

Did you fit the rear mud flaps? Strange question... but how do they attach at the top.. a clip like the fonts? Or do they sit under an existing screw?

(I ask cuz my rear bumper's a body shop replacement and the spoiler parts isn't as tightly bonded to the original bumper skin as a factory example.. I was hoping some mud flaps might hide it / pull it in a little.. but if they only attach to the spoiler part then it could end up making it worse with the drag they must create pulling on the spoiler part alone..) One day I'll buy a 2nd hand bumper to get that factory tight fitment again..

Thanks dude, i washed it today and wound it a little more so its now on the very bottom :) so its a little bit lower than on the photo's :) the fronts have loads left so i wound them down to 8 threads from the bottom today which is low enough for me at the mo lol :) on the picture its got about 14 threads left on the front, il take some pictures maybe tomorow when its settled :)

Thanks alot :) im not sure to be honest about the mud flaps, they came on the car and iv never know if they are standard or not lol. they are connected by two screws at the bottom, and two up the sides, although my screws are f****d so only one screw holds each side in lol. They slot in with a lip on the flaps and then screw in but i dont know if they screws are the original ones or not becasue as i say they where there when i purchased it. i go through times of loving or hating them lol :)

Looking very nice mate, I am a massive fan of black wheels and they don't half make a black car look mean! :D

Skoda dealership ;)

Standard Fabia ones will fit the vRS rear bumper, despite what the dealers will tell you. They fit after trimming off a plastic flap (difficult to explain, but easy to work out when you see it) on the bumper, and then a bit of jiggery-pokery. Nothing too complicated :)
