Blueflame Performance (Exhausts) gone bust?!

one question is though, can my bank stop a transaction before it is made. for example could they block any attempts by blueflame to debit my card?

Probably but talk to the bank anyway & explain your concerns to get the definative answer

looking forward to putting all this behind me and hope blueflame get what they deserve. now exhaust has been ordered i would like a custom map. got loads of companies in mind but (and here comes a nice debate) which is the best option?! looking for someone based down south and more importantly whose rolling roads are the most accurate? :giggle:

Oh no not that debate again !!

Personally Im a jabba fan, down south I would say JKM in Portsmouth are very good, had a couple of runs on their rollers & they were IMO pretty accurate, Also they are knowledgable & decent to deal with

People seem to travel miles to go to R Tech in leicester. I'm going tomorrow in fact, not heard one bad word about them on the two forums I use (golfgti.co.UK) the other one.

I mean before this happened they were pretty crappy already (terrible website and they always ignored emails)!

It doesn't matter how good your product is if you're terrible at dealing with customers.

Oh well....... more money for Milltek/Piper/Jetex etc.

yeah JKM did seem a good choice cos they are literally a 2 minute drive off of the ferry. do they just offer the generic revo map then or can they offer a custom map as well?

its funny you say that bodge i sent 3 emails with no response before ordering and then phoned and they took order from me......should have taken note of their poor comms before ordering really - oh well :dull:

I have found them excellent to deal with. My last Octy was built & tuned by Jabba but when the car dropped into limp mode in Calais at lunch time on the fist leg of the Furball they stayed there on Sat afternoon (they usually close at 12) until I had limped it back to Portsmouth, spent a couple of hours sorting the car out, managed to find s/hand parts from somewhere & I was back south of Calais by 9pm, & they didnt take advantage of me with the bill. Genuine people & Top Service IMO

JKM are a 5 min drive from me in Havant.

Used them lots and great service. I have REVO map and they defo will custom it to your requirements and what is basically fitted to the car.

I went Revo stage one initially but now have REVO stage 2

yes perfect bowders just what i needed to know, thanks very much for the info. be nice to see a bit of pompy again lived there for 5 years. i think ill give them a ring then book the ferry.

called the estate agent that deals with the new site that blueflame have moved to. interestingly enough when i mentioned blueflame the woman said " are you chasing them up for an order?" so i told her the whole saga and she said she had about half a dozen people call her wanting to get in touch with blueflame! i wonder actaully how many people they have ****ed off...must be a fair few

hi mate iv just posted a topic about the same problem i ordered my blue flame cat back for my fab bout 3 weeks ago through DC performance and they said blue flame hadnt been producing exhausts for the last week as they were moving locations and they werent answering the phones. hopefully if the rumours are true and they have gone bust ill get my money back as i used a third party company to buy it.

they have gone bust and re opened under a different name so i would be asking for your money back now???? new name is sience labs....

ok thanks for the heads up the guy at DC performance told me to wait another week, but i trust this info more so ill insist on a refund or for them to swap me for another cat back system any suggestions. (all im after is a good look with a bit of an extra wooshy noise lol)

x2 for the miltek. i've got the non resonated and both the fitment and the sound is spot on :thumbup:

i personally would highly recommend getting your money back. a change over of premises would not involve closing both website and phone lines. ask for a different product if they offer one. if not get a refund mate :thumbup:

for sure. i thought it might catch on. nigel was one of the first i spoke to and he was great, a pleasure to deal with and one of the reasons i ordered. i think that they may even have to lose the blueflame name if they're ever to get any customers again

Depends if the debit has a continuos authority on it or not.

Iv just been offered my money back I paid £260 or a swap for a miltek cat back for another £20 so will work out at £280. Is that a good price for a miltek I would mind swapping or us it worth just taking the money and running?

Not sure about the price but would add I had a bespoke system from both Miltec & Blue Flame on my 4x4 Mk 1 & the quality of the Miltec was definately better

Before accepting, get a quote from someone else for a miltek system, so you can see if its a good deal or not.

My gut reaction would be for my $ back though - even if it costs more in the long run :giggle:
