Iv been given my money back as they said it's gonna be another 4 weeks for a miltek system I'm fed up of waiting so I'll just keep my eye on my bank account to make sure they pay the money back in

give Garry at MSW a try mate. he sorted me out and they can get hold of most systems, milltek, piper, jetex etc worth a try even if just for a quote

Shame really as I think their exhausts were one of the best systems out there.

When my exhaust starts blowing (which may be soon by looking at the state of the rusty old thing), I'll be getting a Piper system from Garry at MSW too.

He was really helpful at Piper, and still really helpful at MSW!!

Skoda were sneaky with the exhaust! At first glance under the bumper the twin tailpipes and back box appear to be stainless, little do you know that the main pipe section that you can't see is rusty as hell! Mind you, it must be damn thick because my car is 8.5yrs old now, and still running the original exhaust!

... it must be damn thick ...

My old 9yr old exhaust is off the car, and despite looking rusty, the metal underneath is sound and strong

could not agree more. got a piper coming ordered through MSW and cannot wait to get it fitted.

i pretty much ripped the old one off trying to drive into a gateway one evening, didnt see a mound of concrete a builder had left in the middle of the gateway (which had solidified) and bang i was beached, swinging like a seesaw. checked the "cross bars" underneath that the exhaust is part supported by and a few bolts have been sheered off as well as a nice hole in one of the back boxes. what a sh*tter. after fitting the new exhaust system will these "cross bars" have to be fitted again?!

i JUST GOT MILLTEK CAT BACK FOR £240 AND MY STANDARD BACK BOX IS BRAND NEW 100 MILES ON IT DEALER REPLACED UNDER MY WARRENTY I BOUGHT GOOD THING TO CAUSE IT WAS £249 WITH 2 HANGERS??????//WOW

My Octy is 11 years old 104,000 miles and still on the original exhaust. As an ex FIAT owner, this is amazing. I would have been to Kwik-Fit at least 4 times in 11 years in my old Punto.

We sold our 52 plate 110 tdi earlier this year, 165 K & still with the original exhaust & clutch, I was amazed at the clutch as it was mapped to 165 bhp at 8000 miles from new

Not sure about the price but would add I had a bespoke system from both Miltec & Blue Flame on my 4x4 Mk 1 & the quality of the Miltec was definately better

Had a quick look at the Miltek site and couldn't see any thing for the Mk1 4x4. Have they stopped doing them?

Mine was I think the first they did & was built as a bespoke system, They had the car for a few days to do it & I thought they were going to keep patterns. It was organised through Jabba so worth giving them or Miltec a ring direct

if thats what I think your on about mate, all the fixings on the std zorst are the same for the new one.

all mounting points same.

sounds like you hit it hard.

I think the 4x4 exhaust is different to the FWD 1.8T's. Can someone confirm?

Yes, they are different.

Don't think milltek do an off-the-shelf system for the 4x4, think you have to go custom (?)...

i personally would highly recommend getting your money back. a change over of premises would not involve closing both website and phone lines. ask for a different product if they offer one. if not get a refund mate

for sure. i thought it might catch on. nigel was one of the first i spoke to and he was great, a pleasure to deal with and one of the reasons i ordered. i think that they may even have to lose the blueflame name if they're ever to get any customers again

you lot make me laugh ,i worked for blueflame for 9 years .the company went bust . i went to work on the thur and was told i had no job

the place was closed down straight away , and as for nigel well if you worked there you would know what he was really like

yeah come on tell all! sorry we cant tell what nigel was really like, i am just stating what my impression of him was over the phone.

we make you laugh?? those crooks make me laugh making off with thousands of pounds of other people's money. in fact there should be a law made whereby those who are in charge of a business that goes bust (such as blueflame) should not be able to open another business again. it infuriates me to think that if their new business gets up and running, whose to say this whole senario isnt going to be repeated,

a new site with a formal apology to all affected customers would be a good start to the opening the new business

I used to deal with Blue Flame a few years ago they had a great product but an absolute nightmare to deal with i do not know how the company operated i used to give them plenty of orders as i always had customers wanting their exhausts but it took months for stuff to arrive used to have to keep on refunding the customers as they would not answer the phone or a range of excuses that would fill the bible, from bottom to the top the company was an absolute shambles!!!

It did seem a straightforward post albeit sounding like it was posted firing from the waist so to speak but I can see why the mods dont want brisky to be debating anything that could be percieved as having any legal implications, likewise if the original poster had second thoughts & deleted it thats fair enough

Lets hope from the ashes things get sorted, it was a good product & I always had fair dealings with them although it was a few years ago

lets just say the post wasnt the most humble of apologies

Was it from someone at Blueflame then? Whatever it was it sounds juicy!

Just checked up on all of this again, and it turns out I was spot on in my original post!

According to Companies House, Blueflame Performance Engineering Ltd is in liquidation (which was the original company name). But they have re-opened under their new name of Blueflame Performance Exhausts Ltd, in the same town! Subtle.

Their new website is up now ( http://www.blueflameperformance.com/main_english/ ), which mentions nothing of the changeover, and does not give their new address. It just says welcome to our new website!

So just so everyone knows, their new address is:

Name & Registered Office:

BLUEFLAME PERFORMANCE EXHAUSTS LTD

UNIT 10 2 POTTER PLACE

WEST PINBOW

SKELMERSDALE

LANCASHIRE

ENGLAND

WN8 9PW

Company No. 07396708
