I think you'll find 99% of the regulars have declared it, me included.

Anyone who hasn't will be buried under an avalanche of criticism, and rightly so. Therefore they're hardly likely to admit it :)

Are they the type which can also be used to dig oneself out of a hole?

Nah.

They need a remap for that :D

If I had a car which could be remapped and if I had done so I would have declared it to my insurer (LV), especially as they don't charge for modifications, if I had actually done so.

A) Skoda ?

B) An insurance company ?

Answers on a postcard to the usual address ;)

Ok then, I own up...I havent notified my insurance company of any of the mods I have had done to mine.

Do you think they will be interested in the facts that:

I have a Stars n Stripes Mickey head on top of the aerial,

I also have Brisky and Brunters stickers in my rear window??

Hmmm. well "technically" I have not actually directly said to L.V "I have had a remap!" however I mentioned it when first starting up with them, the whole point was t be remapped, and they said "fine, just keep the receipts in case of a claim" (which was handy three weeks later  )

IF, I had got out a policy with LV because I wanted to modify the brakes and alloys without paying a premium, and got a remap LATER, I would not tell them. Simply because I was told I don't have to. Keep receipts & photo's in case of visual things. (try taking piccies of a remap - its quite tough ;))

This above was principle reason #1 for sticking with LV at renewal time, when a cheaper similar option raised its head.
