It's a JBS Group Buy. If anyone is interested I can PM you more details or contact JBS themselves and say you want to be part of the group buy currently being run on UKMKVS.Net & seatcupra.net :D

Lee

Do you offer the DPF delete with a more tame map? If so im very interested, if theres no stutter lol :D

Yes absolutely, we can do anything you like and if tame is your game, that's no problem :)

sweet man!! Do keep us posted if its totally fixed the stutter

Well the fix i have applied has fixed previous stutters on 2.0 PD140 engines and all of the 1.9's ie PD130,PD160 etc

And for £2 carnt really go wrong

That's good to hear Andrew, you still not replicated it yet? Must admit the stuttering didn't sound too promising, but if you seemed to have cured it for a few measly quid, then I'm definitely still going to go ahead with the group buy (If we can get one more person..?)

i havent managed to replicate it but ... i havent been out in the car since travelling to MK on the train this week

But im preety sure the 1st and 2nd gear stutter would of happend in the 40 minute drive i did as it happend almost everytime i came to traffic lights

Well after getting rid of my Fabia VRS and buying an Octavia VRS PD, im considering getting the dpf delete and remap as i have 1st hand experience of what a pain in the ass the dpf is on various cars!

Iv done a bit of digging and on the seat forum it appears almost everyone is experiencing a few problems with it, the main one being a stutter intermitantly, usually when in 6th and putting the foot down! A bit like kangaroo petrol as they describe it! Has anyone had the dpf delete done on their octavias and experienced this?

Im wondering if it could be a fuelling prob theyr getting, maybe the injectors maxing out as they seem to b running around 240bhp and the standard injectors will b pretty much on the limit here!

Also is there a dpf delete remap that is a bit more tame than that, say to around 190-200bhp? as its mainly just the wife that uses it with the kid in the back and aparently the aggresive map is a tad TOO responsive!!

So basically whose had it done, any problems and is there a less agressive map to go with the delete?

Cheers, Dave.

Right Dave,

I took the bold step of getting this sorted as no-one seemed to be able to give me a straight answer to your question.

I got in touch with Ben at Shark Performance and he convinced me he could sort everything out. I arranged a day to visit him to get some work done along with the DPF removal and re-map. I was made extremely welcome and even took up residence in Ben's office as I had some work to do

Once things were completed Ben took me on a test drive and it was immediately obvious the car was transformed. There is a load more torque and the car now revs much more like a petrol engine. Since then I've done a few hundred miles with a combination of motorway, dual carriageway, A-roads and town driving and there is absolutely no sign of any 'stutter'.

IF ANYONE IS THINKING OF GETTING THIS DONE GET ALONG TO SHARK PERFORMANCE!!

Some People get the stutter some dont its abit of a lottery

JBS Offered there mapping in 3 stages

1.Just DPF Delete no power ganes

2.Mild Map

3.Wild Map (Im running this one)

Andrew - when you have a day free, you should pop up to see us and try our DPF software for comparison. We have redone a couple of cars done by the tuner you mentioned with positive results.

when you have a day free

Whats a free day? :giggle:

Had any better figures that 235.5bhp on rollers, my cars all about power  i do want to stage 3-4 it in the end but little scared about the possibility of the DPF becoming a legal requirement for MOT's
