Never moan about vag parts prices again

Featured Replies

Found this posted on a Nissan Forum, I know from running the zed parts are pricey but this is just robbery

Was at xxxxxxxx yesterday for the 18,000 service - top job as usual. They had a customer who had got the polarity wrong when jump starting his new 370Z with premium connect.

Blew the Sat nav module £16,000

Body control module £1000

sure somebody hasn't put an extra 0 in?

Just copied & pasted off the other forum but I know from someone who had one fail that the unit for the new GTR is 10K without the labour & recoding required to fit it.

Makes £57 for a 350Z badge seem cheap !

To that all I can say is B.O.H.I.C.A!

(Bend Over Here It Comes Again)

That's got to hurt, even for the badge. I guess Z means we charge super-car prices for everything.

Remeber seeing a thread on a forum about the new Skyline/GT-R's.

When they crash, it pushes the bonnet up, to cushion the blow for any pedestrians agaisnt the engine block. Someone had a repair bill of £11k to fix some minor damage to the body, and the bonnet mech/ECU.

'The rams for the bonnet alone were £3k.' Post 3 of this thread.

Puts VAG prices into perspective. Not even like it's a high performance engine/chassis part or anything!

I read that as well, Ive also heard the front splitter is around a grand FFS

Its ludicrous. I havent needed many bits for the zed but every time I go in Im still horrified, the oil pressure switch was £100, fuel pressure regulator (rubber thing in the fuel line) that stops it going back to the tank over £100, I wanted a new seat cover just after I got it as it had a few scratches, OK Leather but when I asked the guy said its well over a grand, do I need to look it up, Nope came the reply.

Thankfully there a few very good Nissan breakers who are reoasnable with prices & with the cost opf parts theres a lot of lightly damaged ones totalled giving a good parts supply.
