Skoda Fabia Race Livery

Afternoon Briskodians

I love my Fabia to bits.

I also love motorsport and trackdays.

I have wanted to combine for couple of years but funds have meant nothing more than a coupelof trackdays in my Fabia have happened.

However with the mortorport season coming to an end I plan to spend the winter getting sponsors together and hopefully campaign a Fabia in the Castel Combe Saloon Car Championship and the VAG Trophy.

I am hoping to trade on the VRS's diesel lump as a positive and run on biodiesle making it the "green"/"eco" motor racing alternative.

My employers are huge into green (we're carbon netural and everything!) so hopefully it'll pull on their heart strings and they'll cough up the cash.

Here's my first mock up of an eco friendly race liverly

yes it's not a VRS but i couldn't find a suitable VRS blueprint to design over.

The design itself is pretty cheesy, a bit corporate and possibly a bit old hat but it's the kind of thing the directors at work will go for! :giggle:

thought, comments or alternative designs welcome :)

Cliff mate, that looks awesome! do you plan on selling off sections of car like the felicia rally on here not long ago?

it's gonna be quite smokey behind you!

Jake

looks good the only thing and this is just me personally I find the "green racing powered by bio-diesel" slightly hard to read. Could be my eyesite though.

You've got all the companies colours/logos (had a quick look on the website) which is good

Same here.

Maybe if the text was in black (diesel pump colour too) it would be easier to read.

Yeah Green 'BIODIESEL' Racing would be better

I love the idea Cliff but...

The trouble is...

Especially if it's used for racing...

Regardless of what it runs on diesel wise...

It's never going to look green when the beans are being given

with plumes of black smoke pouring out of the back.

I'm sure the first time the sponsors saw it doing an impression of

a scared squid they'd have a few questions.

The mock up looks great though....

Not 100% sure on the sponsorship side yet - I sure as hell can't afford to do it on my own but am hoping that my work (Commercial Group) will cough up the readies if the vehicle stays on their fleet as a promotional tool, and i write a blog for them for the website etc

After that selling sections is an idea but i'd have to raise all the money before hand to enter

The text was originally white but was unreadable. Then i changed it to green and it blended into the leaves too mucch.

So i chose orange cos it's the companies main colour

not a final decision though

shhhhh - i know this - Motorsport is about the least green sport i could chose but diesel is the greenest way to do it

The company already runs it's fleet of 10 vans and most of it's IT engineers cars (Octavia's included) on biodiesel which so there much be something good about it!

Or their PR machine is better than even i imagined!
