rain-X anti fog?

Featured Replies

hey, so yday i decided id try out that anti fog stuff thats going around as i hate going out to the car and its all misted up, put it on as per instructions but the stuff wont frign come off competely, the product must be oil based as all i can see is the rub marks all over the screen when the light hits it, its annoying the crap out of me lol anyone else tried this stuff with any success?

thanks, jordan

I've used Rain X but only ever on the outside. I think the success of it depends on what you use to rub it in with. I used ordinary kitchen roll on mine a the weekend and it wasn't as good as normal. I usually use some blue paper (like paper towell material) from work which is a lot better.

Haven't experienced the anti-fog treatments, I just use the A/C!

Used to use Rain-X with good results until I discovered Comma ProVision Rain Clear Gel. Takes a bit of time to apply (as it's a gel) but well worth the effort and lasts longer than Rain-X. Passengers have commented it's like "going into hyperspace"! when the rain is falling and running to the top of the windscreen and you don't have to have the wipers on constantly too.

Normal Rain-x was quite good I found, but the Anti-Fog interior version was...crap.

yeah ive got the stuff on the outide but the interior anti fog is terrible, waste of money, everyone else is referring to the rain repellant lol

Its one of those products due to the brand name you expect to do a good job and turns out to be cr-p.

I found it works well at stopping the window steaming but it's near impossible to not to be left with a smeary finish. Works better on the bathroom mirror!

Normal Rain-X when applied properly following the instructions is a great product...

On very very rainy days, i swear Rain-X alone has saved my bacon due to extremely sh!te visibility...
