Anyone replaced the pipe from the airbox to the inlet manifold?

Featured Replies

ive measure it as aound 85mm diameter, looking to raplace it with a silicone jobbie, ive seen some stainless pipes fitted with couplings at the end, but really wanted a one piece silicone pipe, anyone done it.

I've been tempted by a silicon jobby too.. the 135 degree angle I think, the OEM one is a tad long imo..

On a side note, is that pic of your car? What did you use for the hose from the front to the induction kit? I used a 6inch alu flexy pipe before but it shredded slowly as it was a little too big, rubbed against the block and battery..

i believe its around 60mm ill have a measure up tonight at work

I have a one-off here - Replaced right from the end of the MAF to the turbo intake pipe. Using a combination of silicone reducing bends to get from the 80mm (i think) diameter of the end of the MAF, down to the 55(ish) mm of the turbo intake (bear in my mind I have a 2260 turbo though). All in all it cost about £60 to £70 I think for the ally bends, and the silicone bends. Got no pics, as its all heatwrapped to avoid being burned/affected by the exhaust manifold which is very close now.

83mm id samco is what you need!!!

Hey bud i have some stuff that will be perfect! Its like flexible samco!

As normal samco will rub on the rubber water pipes! Measure up how much you need and we can come to a deal
