I Phone 4 Solution Sort Of

Featured Replies

I have recently got an iPhone4 which of course does not pair with the car but I have transfered al numbers from old nokia e72 to i phone and put a pay as you sim card (free with vodafone) in the old nokia.

I leave the nokia switched on after resetting profile for the car to new sim card, then forward calls from iphone to pay as you go sim card number hence you get full functionality of iphone and the car does the phone business, you do have to put some credit on pay as you go to call some one but it does kind of get round the problem.

Any thoughts or comments from people are welcome?

Yeah, i did thie with my iPhone 3gs - but orange (my network, for example) CHARGE you to divert calls, outside of your network minutes - i think it's 20p / min - so be careful and aware of this!

I have 7 days to go until the end of my contract, then it's goodbye iPhone, hello BlackBerry Torch!

MY11 Superb should now work with iPhones 3gs and 4. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Simple throw away quip I know but it does make me mad.

Parrot make a bluetooth kit that costs £50 and will connect virtually every mobile phone in the world, Skoda make one where no Android phone will connect, they have made it right now, but that really doesn't help me much.

And no I won't get a new phone my Desire does exactly what I need it to do, thank you :-)

I don't need it to connect to my car, it would be much better but I don't really like talking and driving at the same time so its no big deal. I find being able to RDP to my home and work PC's much more use than connecting to the car.

Dont blame Skoda, VW, Audi, Bugatti, Rolls Royce, etc. who now fit RSAP kits as standard, blame Apple for not adopting what is a far superior system and sticking with a system thats 10 years old now.
