It will. Like most other makes, the power will be cut after approx 10 min of removing the key.

Switch off after 10 mins? Oooooo no it won't! It's a permanent live in my car... And have no idea how to change it from being so...

You'll need to rewire the whole thing, all the way back to the fusebox. The car itself has no switched 12V supplies since all the electronics is switched on/off via Canbus signals. Also consider that should a fault occur you may well find your new warranty void.

On our Octavia and works Mondeo, they power down but opening doors etc restarts the counter.

Unless you leave something plugged in, then it doesnt matter as there wont be anything to drain it

That may be true for an Octavia and Modeo, but the superb, as the OP asks, they are 100% Permanent live feeds to all 12v sockets, that don't switch off.

I work out of the car all day, and during summer months, run an electric cool box, which runs all day and never switches off. Leaving the car for 3 or 4 hours sometimes, it's still running when I get back and is colder than it was before even in 27 degrees.

As mannyo says, a re wire would-be in order and would invalidate warranty...

As has been stated on here the 12V power sockets both front and rear are a constant non switched feed.

The easiest way to overcome this is to wire in a new extension socket that can be wired into the spare switched live on the fuse box.

I had this done on my new Superb whilst my parrot car kit was fitted. I have various things running off of it. All the wires are hidden, all plugs are tucked under the centre console and they all switch off when i remove the key. Obviously if you want to plug and unplug things from the socket then it can not be hidden away, but if it is to feed something that you use all the time hide the socket away and buy a new power lead if needed, so that you can run the cable out of sight and just have the end showing where you need to plug your device in.
