You didn't mention which engine. You can get a 3.6 petrol with a dsg and that is a 4x4. Could that be the answer?

Sorry.. 170 dsg 4x4.. - they don't exist, but I wish they did!

Hi, initialy I also wanted the 4x4 with the DSG, but then I found out that leaving the gearbox in 'D' in standing traffic would damage one of the 2 clutches, to me the whole idea of an auto box was to stick in in 'D' and just point the thing, having to keep putting it into 'N' everytime your in stop go traffic defeats the object. Plus the 6 speed manual box is a really good gearbox.

Thanks for the replies.

Maybe Broadspeed have it wrong... here's the subject from the email...

"In Stock - Skoda Superb Estate Elegance DSG 4x4 2.0 TDi 170PS - Black/Ivory Lthr"

So they were definitely offering the CR170 with the DSG and 4x4... could it be a European spec model perhaps?

I was led to believe that you can sit at lights with the DSG in drive... so long as you had your foot on the brake, as the brake light switch also triggered the clutches.
