Remap question

Featured Replies

Having had my vrs a few months and reading some posts on here im considering a remap. When i had my previous car i had it mapped live on the road and with the supporting mods the car was individually mapped,it totally transformed the car.

My question is, is the remap stage 1 ive read about on here a generic map laid onto the cars ecu with no live mapping on the road?

Stage 1 remaps tend to be generic ones, but you can get custom ones done on a rolling road from places like Jabbasport in Peterborough.

Generic ones today should be better than early ones, since the tuners have had nearly 10 years to get to grips with the mk1 vRS.

You got a link stig?

You could try R Tech in leicester, top bunch and really know their stuff too. I'd highly recommend them.

Had my car in last week and it was well worth the drive down, accurate rolling road too.

I also heard good things about R Tech from a friend. Its like the Subaru scene i left, mappers develop reputations and a loyal following.

Thanks Rob.

Thanks Lloydy, now would my girlfirend know its been remapped if i didnt tell her??? :giggle:

na just blame her heavy foot :giggle: i dunno about p-torque but apr and rrev have switchable options via the cruise control

Just tell her its 'special fuel' lol

The only problem is when someone gives it large and you have a compelling urge to blast them into next week with the missus in the car!
