Wreck now looking very sorry for itself.

Featured Replies

A few piccies. Went to the wreck today with the intention of doing a final removal of spares and then bash the living daylights out of it, but I only had two/three hours of daylight to work in, so didn't manage to get much out (free'd up most of the OEM wiring loom which was nice though)

So, here is a small sample of pics I took today.

Where the steering wheel used to be, and that door wasn't normally there either ;)

More of the driver's side A Pillar damage, now rusting up nicely

Through the keyhole, I mean the hole the rear screen used to fill. :o

View from the passenger side. Damn beetle engine bits ended up being thrown in there.

Front left side, with the undamaged steering rack I want off it still. Note the lovely stable "axle stands" it sits on ;) Its secure, I assure you. :D

Me part way through removing the brake fluid reservoir. That black panel behind came off shortly after to allow access to the huge thick wiring loom going back to the relay box thingy. ;)

The wiring, etc on the passenger side of the engine bay. So far I've managed to keep all wiring uncut.

Hopefully next time, destruction of this car will finally occur.

No wonder you didnt get much done, you took a bloody big lunch box with you :D

I assume its a lunch box, because its way to girlie to be a real mans tool box :P

:bawl: thinking about mine...

Actually, it's a kind of motorvehicle version of the urban exploration site that was posted some time ago. Most eery...

Jason is your car in a scrappie's or in a random field? :D

You could call it a "random field" - Its just off one of my farmer mate's lanes to one of his fields. :D

I still say it will polish out J, just a little bit of elbow grease. ;):D

Ahem??? You mean off a rear door? if so, I have both still attached to the now detached rear doors.

But it's not a 10 year Anti-Jason warranty, is it? :)

I got two mate - hopefully both in good condition. :o

Drop me a PM with some contact details. ;) I hope to be visiting the wreck again this weekend, hopefully. Looking at doing a full day this time.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you do to it?

I'm going to guess at you rolled it?

Triple salko with half twist and a flip :D

LOL!

Jason competing in the Olympics for us next time then?

I hope no-one got hurt, doesn't look too great. Anyone know the link to the thread of the death?

Triple salko with half twist and a flip :D

Not too far out with that description!:D

It was a double roll, with one complete roll in the air  plus a "bonnet pointing to the sky" landing with another roll on the ground, and nice sliding stop on my roof. I was fine, yes. Which is why I got another furby within a month! :D

Hmm, may I suggest a light boot when driving next time? A trainer perhaps? Not steel boots. And a usage of the middle pedal, I think it's called the brake.

At least I now know how safe I really am when I get mine. I think it's amazing how far car safety has come in just 10 years really. If you did that in a standard escort, I wouldn't fancy your chances.

And don't chase 1.4 16v Octavias :P Even on snow tyres he got away

And a year later, we're still waiting for the scene-of-the-crime pics ;)
