I've got a paper copy of the manual and it's not in that either

its the instrument dimmer, the icon represents the speedo or rev counter and bulb is just that, a bulb. That must be an early switch because its normally a rotating switch next to and not part of the main switch.

its the dimmer for the instrument panel mines the same you push it in and it pops out then you can rotate the control
