No instructions with the pro alloy one :-( although it's a good job I am changing it as the stock one has holes in!!!

Ok, so the lack of light has stopped play for today. Got the old side mount off and started sorting the hoses out for the Pro Alloy.

It didn't come with any instructions. At some point in the cars past the front end has been played with by a bit of a monkey, they had managed to bugger two of the bolts that hold the bumper on, so I had to drill them out. They also fitted the duct for the side mount coller wrong so it was rubbing against the cooler and has worn holes though!

Old and new side by side.

Losing the light but getting there.

Hi

I fitted a pro alloy IC.

Mine needed the crash bar cutting to clear the outlet pipe and a couple of tappered spacers making for the top mounts and a small alloy brkt for the bottom O/S mount.

The boost sensor mounting was supplied wrong in the kit and yours looks very similar to the one I had a problem with.

Here's some pics that might help you.

The boost sensor housing on the left is no good due to the mounting not been thick enough and allowing the sensor O ring to pass right through and not make a seal.

That very helpful thanks. My MAP sensor housing is ok, the sensor fits and seals ok. I seem to have enough room behind the crash bar to fit without cutting it, but wont know for sure until I get it bolted on. Looks like I'm heading the right way at least.

Good luck with the fitting.....it took me two attempts to get mine fitted and I was happy with it.

You will find that its very important to get the position of the FMIC spot on otherwise the botton inlet pipe wont fit into the bumper recess below SMIC grill, which means the bumper wont fit back on.

Well worth the effort, I'm very pleased with mine although I have modded the crash bar on mine to expose a bit more of the core.

I thought it looked like you had removed some of the crash bar in one of the photos. weather permitting I'll get this fitted and working tomorrow.

Well got this all fitted and tested yesterday :-)

Managed to get it in without cutting the crash bar up to. So the family and I can stay safe (you can tell I'm getting old).

Not much room to spare.

Loads of space where the old cooler use to live!

I'm not sure you would even notice if you walked past.

Well done, can't beleive you did it so quick and without any problems

Think you might need to make bracket for the front end of the pancake pipe otherwise it may rattle about a bit on the road.

Yeah, I have been looking at both pipes, there is a fair bit of movement in them. I'm going to sort something out to hold them in place a little better.

Also my lower off side mounting is in a different place to yours. Yours looks to be on the corner but mine is on the side and now in the right place.
