Skoda Dealerships

Featured Replies

I read in Autoexpress magazine to-day that another Skoda dealership was going to the wall..the story metioned that this was one of many!!..apart from going bust does anybody know of any other reasons

Some Skoda dealership have decided that they cannot / do not want to commit to building expensive new premises so are no longer able to sell new Skoda vehicles.

Don't think many have "gone to the wall"

if some of the stuff in a separate thread tonight 'dealer margins' is to be believed then its no wonder. According to dealers they only make a few percent on every deal and even with my maths , a few percent of not very much (the price of the average skoda) is not very much at all.

:) I heard that Skoda want all of there showrooms to look the same so the garage HAS to spend

The dealer made absolutely no profit on my car apparently. Fleet company drove a hard deal and then made the dealer prep and return my old renault to them.

Skoda wanted the Skoda buying experience to be the same wherever you bought a Skoda.

Resistance is futile :borg:

My dealer has also moved to a new all-singing all-dancing corporate supersite...

Fortunately they took all the staff with them and the service is still excellent.

It's the people that make a good dealer, not acres of glass frontage, visible steelwork and a shiny new Skoda sign.

I have to agree with you there. Bickerton's were a great team at the old site, and they're still great at the new one. They evn gave me a free MOT on me last service! Commendable!

Can only agree my dealer has lost the new car sales side of it even though they are still the main garage for servicing/bodyshop repairs and parts.

it is also one of the oldest Skoda dealers in the UKovber 40 years if i remember correctly.

the head guy has said that he can still get new cars so i'll go back to him to get my new car.
