Common faults with Skoda cars

Featured Replies

Can't say I've experianced this' date=' both my local dealers have been really good with regards to the Skodas I've had.

Clist and Rattle in Failand (Bristol) (replaced immobilser with aftermarket jobbie after skoda failed to send the correct replacement fob TWICE )

and Roadworthy (Skoda specialist NOT dealer, though they are getting the dealership back) (Replaced the Cylinder Head on one of my Fav's after head gasket went 2 months after warranty expired  )

I have heard some horror stories about Williams Autos in Bristol (never used them myself) which is probably why Skoda are taking the dealership away from them and giving it back to Roadworthy.

I bought my Fabia from Roadworthy (when they had the dealership) and they serviced it. I was pleased with them. When the dealership moved to Williams, I complained to Skoda. I now have to use them, but I've had no problems. I've never used Clist & Rattle. Pleased to hear that Roadworthy are back. What a name for a car dealer, though! I suppose Clist & Rattle doesn't sound much better!

The one big thing you have to bear in mind... most of these are COMMON VAG GROUP PROBLEMS. so other Marques, vw,audi, seat will suffer from similar things.

And skoda dealers are the best of a bad bunch, tho personally ive never had a problem with mine :)

That's a very useful useful reminder given the title of this thread.
