Stream MP3 and Maxidot

Featured Replies

Hi

I recently bought a Stream MP3 from daz_pd to fit to my 55 plate (2006MY) Octavia L&K Estate, to replace the MFD2 that it came with.

I wanted mp3 playback and the PDC and Climate displays on the radio.

After moving the earth connection for the CDC so that it worked, I have a question about what should show on the Maxidot when playing back mp3's from CD. I get all of the song title info on the Stream MP3 display, but all it shows on the Maxidot when I select Audio is CD Track 05 or similar, as if it was playing an audio CD.

I thought with the Stream MP3 you got the song title etc. on the Maxidot as per the display on the Stream MP3? Or am I mistaken?

Not a big issue, just would be nice :)

So, should it work? Do I have a coding issue? (Need to recode anyway to turn off Navigation and also last time I was in there with Mike H we noticed that the coding wasn't done for CD changer, even though I have one fitted and it works!)

Or is it something more expensive like I need a newer Maxidot or a newer CAN Gateway?

Oh, and whilst I am asking questions, I now have the facility to connect an AUX IN on the end 3 pins of the small blue connector in the rear of the radio - can a cable be bought with the necessary pins on that just insert in to the connector so that I can run some screened coax to the glovebox or jumbo box for a 3.5mm jack socket?

Thanks

Thanks

At least I know I am not missing something.

Anyone know about the part numbers for an AUX IN connector?
