The figures for the 1.4 16v 80hp normally aspirated unit used in the Octavia speaks volumes. The quoted figures are top speed 107mph, 0 to 62 in 14.2 secs, 80bhp at 5000rpm, 132Nm of torque at 3,800rpm, CO2 emissions of 167 and combined mpg figure of 40.4.

The 1.4 TSi in the Octavia reads top speed 126mph, 0-62 in 9.7 secs, 122bhp at 5000rpm, 200Nm of torque from 1500 to 4000rpm, CO2 emissions of 154 and a combined mpg figure of 42.8.

The 1.2TSi in the Octavia reads top speed 119 mph, 0-62 in 10.8 secs, 105bhp at 5000rpm, 175Nm of torque from 1550 to 4000rpm, CO2 emissions of 134 and a combined mpg figure of 49.6.

The difference between the normally aspirated & turbocharged units are poles apart with torque being the key ingredient. The 1.2 TSi stacks up very well when compared to the 1.4 TSi.

The standard 1.2 TSI has achieved 125 hp on rolling roads, I am curious to what the 1.4 TSI would actually achieve (ie how much hp with no modifications)?

I made test drive to Yeti 1.2 tsi and really enjoy the car. It's maybe the best car I have ever driven and very happy as I am expecting it very soon.

However, I think that the 1.2 lacks little power below 2000rps. So I did ordered the 1.4tsi without test drive and hope that it has this little bit of extra power to make the car even better.

I can't wait to drive it...
