Got one of those tuning box things for my Fabia, can someone tell me how to fit it please cos I bought it on ebay and the instructions are in German!!

No probs. Hows it running. Did you find it hard getting the plug off?

I found it a bit tricky at first, then realised there was a clip that I had to press.

Went out in it after and it definately has more poke than it did before!

I had one of those I brought off Ebay, did increase the performance, made me want a proper upgrade, however after about 1000miles with it in a light apeared on the dash telling me there was a fault with the engine management. Took it in to the garage, after removing the box. I was completely honest with them and they found that the fault was caused by it, they reset it for free and didn't really complain about what I had done. I have not put the box back on since.

Yeah mine did the same. Think it only happens on the newer fabia's. As it bypasses the fuel temp sensor and gives the ecu an incorrect and constant reading the ecu throws up a fault. This can be reset using VAG-COM

The fault that's logged isn't really a fault at all. The ECU is just confused by the output from the sensor that the tuning box plugs into and logs it. Can safely be reset with VAG-COM

Thats why I asked. What a bitch of a job. But now I can do it in seconds

Can anyone tell me how to reset it with VAG-COM in preparation for when it happens?
