180 bhp

Oh thank god.... which ones the 150bhp then? and why is my car comign up just RS lol

I believe the VRS was renamed from RS as Ford was giving their cars the RS emblem. Could be wrong tho...

150hp is just "1.8T" octavia. Essentially a detuned vRS, without tarty bits. Often comes in 4*4 form.

later one where de tuned and early one had the smaller k03 turbo fitted

150 VRS in India due to dodgy fuel supplies there.

150 is just octavia 1.8T, VRS is 180 BHP 1.8T and Octavia VRS WRC 1.8T is 4x4 and 180BHP.

Octavia VRS WRC 1.8T is 4x4 and 180BHP.

Incorrect WRC is front wheel drive, it has ESP as standard though

since when has the wrc been 4x4 think you might be WRONG ????????????????????

fatty beet me to it lol

Haha o god! what happened?

they do make a 150bhp RS, its sold in other countrys where (maybe) different grade fuels ect... I'm sure we had an Indian chap on here who bought an octavia RS (as its know in other countrys) and it was definatly 150bhp.....

Had to get a letter and something else from Skoda and sent it off to DVLA to prove it was an RS and get it changed on the log book!

unwanted hassle when you just buy a car...

I have a 2003 1.8T 20V (Auto)

Does that mean If I were able to change the K03 turbo for the larger one, then my car would be on a par with VRS performance (auto of course)?

I expect your car (being an '03) already has the K03s fitted, as fitted to the vRS.

It's only the older pre-facelift 1.8T's that used the K03.

What's your engine code? Find out and google it....

This was suprisingly common, when I bought my first vRS brand new in 2001, when the logbook turned up it was a Ambiente TDi that run on petrol. Dealer sorted it all for me, and I got the correct V5 a few weeks later.

I do wonder now how many vRS's are out there as Diesel Ambientes where the owners are paying the wrong insurance premiums and so on because the DVLA database is incorrect.

And less road tax!! lol

It was a bit of a palaver but I didn't bother changing it till nearly a year after I bought it (only because it'd put potential buyers off, it clearly is and always has been a vRS not a diesel!) mine still came out as what it should on the insurers database, I think DVLA said that when the vRS came out it wasn't loaded onto their database, so they picked the next available option!!

With regards to changing the turbo on the 1.8T, sure I'll be corrected if wrong, but the AUQ that the vRS has a different map along with the KO3s, I don't think there is any differences in the head..

Iirc the AGU 1.8t head is the large port version ........ I think lol

yeah, but is that what they have in the 1.8T (non vRS?) I dunno!
