Hi there . I'm fairly new to this site and wondered whether someome could help me please ? . I have searched the internet high and low for a Skoda Fabia Classic 1.0 that is for sale , but cant find one any where ! . As far as i am aware they where only made in 1999 and 2000 but i may have been missinformed . There seems to be 1000's of 1.2s , 1.4s and diesels e.c.t. but absolutely no 1.0s. Could one of you guys tell me if there is a reson behind this , or is it that i am just looking in the wrong place ! . Any information would be greatfully appreciated .

They were only sold in mainland Europe I believe. I'd go for the 1.2 or 1.4 diesel, or 1.9 SDI.

They did a 1.0 Polo I think if it's the small engine you're after - otherwise I'd go with the above and aim for a 1.9SDi or 1.2

£180 a year tax and poor MPG to match, and sadly insurance groups have little meaning anymore with insurers. For example, just take say 3 group 2 cars and hit them into confused.com, you'll get a different quote for each.

Could be my heavy right foot. It's definitely at its best on a long run sticking to 60mph on the motorways.

There is evidence out there that it might have been sold here - even if there are none at Autotrader for sale.

And there's compelling evidence in the form of the AA's Launch Review

Also insurance listings include it - though they also suggest other larger engines are still Group 1 - so I can't see the point in getting a 1.0.
