For those of you that have the vRS gear lever rattle.

Had "dealings" with their Sales and Service staff at their Subaru dealership in Botley :( .... nice to see consistency across their dealerships ;)

My Scooby is from Botley. They aren't good down there but they are better than Fareham Skoda.

I'm due my 30k service soon, so I suppose I'll have my pants pulled down.

Lol - I ended up taking mine to TSL in Nottingham for one service (cost me a few quid extra after the wheel alignment, exhaust and a few extra shiny bits I couldn't leave without buying and having fitted :rofl: ) and then took it to Scoobysport in Basildon after that, but I hear XtremeScoobies are as good, if not better. You can see why the Scooby had to go ;)

I love the car but running costs are quite high.

In terms of modding it's like all cars, you just can't help yourself.

Got the Fabia and less than an hour after picking it up the PD160 intake was on!! Since then (2nd Jan) I've added the green cotton filter, sliding drawer, cup holder and there is a MOMO brace waiting to go on when I've painted it green.

It's an ilness - I wouldn't be safe at TSL or Scoobysport

I had the revised parts fitted today by the local dealer.

Seems to have worked a treat! Absolutely no vibration from the gear lever now. In fact the gear change is even more positive.

Had a quick peak under he bonnet when I got home & the right hand cable has a black plastic spacer around it, making sit it off the bulk head area.

We have a strange sort of creaking noise from the dash area on our vrs fabia which has done 5k. This noise is worse when the car is first driven from cold.It then seems to go away when the car has warmed up after about 10 mins.. It's difficult trying to pin point exactly where the noise is but it does seem to be from the dashboard...

Any ideas on this one??

If your dash creaking noise is from the glove box area where mine creeks a Skoda A.T.M is comming to the dealers to sort mine out so take yours to your dealer and tell them its creeking by that time I hope this chap will find the offending part and pass the fix on.

interesting.. I have the noisy neutral gear lever, might mention it now it's an official problem!!

Also, what's with the rear brakes? They graunch on every press of the pedal, worth mentioning? I just assumed they were a noisy brake pad material..

Have you had the mooing kit fitted? Search the forum for my post about it, as this has the part numbers. I also posted the part numbers for the gear lever rattle, with a bit of luck the dealer will have those parts in tomorrow when I visit them and I can see if they kill off the knob rattle (ooo errr...)

We had the gear lever sorted today. I've yet to try it myself.

Don't know if the parts have already been released but emailed the dealer that's got my car last night about this, and they claim to have fixed it (along with everything else) today... Will find out for myself tomorrow morning if they're right...

Bet you dont go to vindis to get them fitted from past posts I lay money youd end up with 5 reverse gears and 1 forward
