Useless mobile phone?

Featured Replies

Make it so using this police backed web site.

http://www.immobilise.com/

By registering you and your mobiles details, you are entered on a database so that if your phone is lost or stolen it can be locked straight away with 1 phone call, and because various lost property centres (ie B/Rail) are also involved you have a much greater chance of having your phone returned to you.

Even if it makes it useless to some thiief, it has to be good.

Thanks for that public information broadcast Mr Andy..consider it done.

Go and have a drink from your fine collection in the cellar on me. :P

good unless some toerag gets your phone locked as a joke/revenge.

Think you'll have to quote your IMEI number to confirm it's your phone that's been nicked, so that should stop the joksters.

Easy to get Colin, only needs a few key presses ;)

Name and address then? Which cat food your dog prefers?

Tell you what, I'll register RIGHT now, and see what happens.

Just how long are you supposed to wait to register. Clicked on the registration button and waited and waited and......nowt.

Mine is registered. Easy is chips to do, and you get a user name and password straight back.

Of course, it doesnt stop jokers or your phone being nicked, but if it helps to cut mobile phone thefts as a whole it has to be a good thing.

No, won't go onto the register page for me...my steam powered internet provider p'raps?

revenge on an ex sounds promising

thats a good link, thanks very much.

Let's hope it's a legitimate site - I know personally I'd be very wary about submitting all that information on a non-secure site!

Chris

Network providers have been able to ban/black list mobile phones from the outset except they don't.....lazy bar stewards.
