Damp inside car - windows constantly fogged up

Featured Replies

My car 'feels' damp when I get it, and I have to spend 5mins+ each morning de-fogging the windows with the heater.

Anyone else have this problem?

Can anything be done about it?

Is your pollen filter dirty, have you inadvertently got it on recirculate rather than fresh air , is your air-con on with the heater, it will clear faster, and if you always leave on you should not have a problem. Also make sure your windows are clean as condensation will cling to dirty ones more readily

Many thanks for the replies, will check those things!

I noticed when heater is directed at windscreen recirc won't turn on anyway.

It will turn off automatically but can then be manually turned back on - at least that's the status with later cars post mid 2006?

Have 2004 Fabia. Will not recirculate if arrow straight to windscreen (up), but just a tad to either side works fine.
