Ok,

According to my records your car requires a VW505.00 spec oil. This gives you plenty of options from a 10w-40 semi synthetic to a 5w-40 full synthetic.

I would personally go full synthetic and a good one would be the Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5w-40.

Tech specs on the oil here http://www.opieoils.co.uk/lubricants.htm

E-mail me for prices at [email protected]

would the FUCHS titan unic plus (ultra) 10W 40 a suitable option?

You can use the Unic Plus Ultra 10w-40, it is cheaper but the reason for this is it is a hydrocracked mineral oil, and not a true synthetic.

The Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5w-40 is a true synthetic made from PAO base stocks, whic puts it in a different league to the hydrocracked oils.

You will get better cold start protection and mpg with the 5w-40.

Depends on what year the car is.

The earlier models are find with a 10w-40 semi even though much better is available then the Magnatec, the newer ones will need more specific thinner oils meeting the given VW code for the car.
