Hi i have tried the search but not found anything. I am just wondering what is a good price for a cambelt change on a vrs, car is coming up to 60k and just trying to get a rough idea.

cheers!!

Budget around £300

I had the belt changed, water pump too, plus air filter & oil change in Leicester garage for £420.00.

As with member Mike B, I paid £350 for Cambelt, Tensioners, Auxiliary Belt, water pump and renewed G12 anti-freeze, last year.

It really depends on your location! As it's more of a labour intensive job

Mine is booked in tomorrow at an Independent to have the cambelt kit and waterpump done for about £275. In South East Herts.

West Mids, last week, VAG independent in Coventry, £300 for the belt, tensioner, water pump and coolant inclusive of no quibble 2 year warranty. car washed, picked up and dropped back at work.

Threw in a new rear wiper as well. (small but welcome!)

Sweet.

It's recommended to change the cambelt at 4 years or 60k miles (whichever comes first)

Bizarrely my local dealer said 4 years or 80k to me the other day. I thought they'd misread the computer screen, so didn't question it, but maybe Skoda's advice has changed?

its confusing everywere i ask i get a diiferent answer but what they all said was 4 YEARS thats when i will change mine.
