My link Nice, numberplate painted in snow white(..) as well! Speedcameras bye bye..

Btw why do I always see some kind of links instead of the picture directly in the (beautiful) forum? And it's not even a link, I have to copy/paste it in my browser before I can see a picture, is it in my forum settings?!

Btw 2. Is it possible to upload a picture direct from a pc instead of posting it first somewhere else and then upload it by link?! THANX

Another pic of a (no longer so much) snowed in SM. The white stuff on the roof came down during 24 h.

This snow is quite powdery, so driving in it was no problem with a 2wd SM.

Well you need to log in to see the pics. If you don't they will just show as links.

And on a direct upload. You need to be a FREEDOM member to get a box below this to just browse for a picture on your hard drive and attach it directly. Then it shows either at the bottom (or you can tick a button to add it into the post too as a thumbnail).

Where? I can't see a thing that looks like a car, apart from 2 black wheels. The rest is all white!!! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Cheers I think I'll sign up for that and help support the site.

I'm not sure what trains you have in Wales (electric, diesel etc), but in the south east we seem to have a 1920's system where there is a central live rail, which in bad weather seems to ice up, get covered in snow etc.

I haven't heard problems with the local trams suffering, they use overhead lines. The trains that I am aware of going north of London up the east/west coast appear to me, but I could be wrong, to use overhead lines. This system seems to me to be better in cold weather, or is it just my imagination? And of course the old diesel/electric trains shouldn't have a problem either, other than traction.

Amazing how years ago they didn`t have these problems with the third rail, or heaven forbid steam trains. My uncle in Canada who works for CP always used to tell us that they just used to get the snowplough out, couple up 10,000hp worth or diesels to them and batter the snow out of the way. Just a shame our railways system seems to get two millimetres of snow on it and you get all the bull about being unable to run.

Why can`t our so-call "modern" trains run in a tiny little bit of snow when equally modern trains elsewhere in the world run just fine???

My Fabia was out doing its best SM impression a few days ago, went up a hill in Barnet followed by a Yeti that everything else seemed unable to get up. Skoda`s 2 everything else 0 (including the bus that decided to park in the hedge 15ft off the road!) :smirk:
