So who's still awaiting build/delivery news?

I place no credibility on this 'build week 8' tale - think I've been given it to shut me up

The only trustworthy date comes from the factory 2 weeks before build, I'm told?

GRRRRR!

Perhaps... But also remember some of us had been given build week dates after a month or so from ordering and the factory religiously kept to that date. In my case anyway. Until I added the electric seat and DSG and it moved 3 weeks from 41 to 44. And on the dot Tuesday of week 44 it was built. Are things really that much up in the air due to the Roomster production going away in a few weeks? Surely that should have eased things! But I feel for you guys. Good luck in the wait.

I'm sure I'm not alone....

Ordered 9 August (O/N 20096676) originally given Wk42; added Electric seats - slipped to WK 45 now NO date!

Talk about frustration!

Seems nothing my dealer or SUK can do to expedite - just hoping I get a trustworthy delivery date soon!

Trouble is I got a cracking deal, the car is exactly what I want and I've lost my argument with 'er indoors that we only need one car!

Cheer me up please emoticon-0106-crying.gif

You're not alone!

Ordered our Yeti on the 19th Aug eventually getting a build week of 46. After 15 weeks of waiting I hear today that "The Yeti is in the country"! Yee-ha...

Obviously very pleased for you, but at a total loss as to why mine (9 August order) is taking so long!

Ideas anyone?

Had the chassis number for mine today, so its on the way.......

Me too - ordered 18 August and not a sniff of a build date yet.

Merlinman I think it is just a combination of your engine and options. When I spoke to James last week about getting an Octavia Scout for my partner he said that we could get the 1,8TSI well quicker than any diesel... And that was for Octavia and Superb. So there might just be a shortage or waiting list for one of the specifics on your car! Does not help I know. I waiting seven months (from April to November) for a specific: the sunroof.

Same here. Car was ordered on August 6th and I was originally given week 47 as a provisional Build Week. I still don't know if the car has been built, is about to be built or has been put back until the New Year!

Mine's a 140PS diesel so, as others have said, there may be a higher demand for that particular engine.

Called my dealer last week to confirm build week 47 for my 1,2 Tsi DSG.

-Nope, it had been pushed to week 5/11 the same week it should have been built.

Arrrggghhhh, guess I haven´t been a good boy this x-mas...

Here goes with my Skoda story. I first bought a Felicia 1.9SD estate in 1999, then progressed to a Fabia and ended up with an Octavia 1.9tdi Combi. In Feb of this year I decided to break with Skoda and bought a Kia Ceed SW 1.6crdi. From that day on I regretted it !. Nothing wrong with the Kia per se but the sheer tinniness of the car in comparison to the Octy was bone shaking to say the least and don't get me started on the misleading MPG Kia figures.

I have however redeemed myself and this morning I test drove my new Yeti 2.0 Active (110) in Rosso Brunelli Met complete with full spare wheel. Dealer had it in stock and I duly paid my deposit and will take possession in first week Jan with 2011 reg.

Only 2wd but the sheer solidity and surefootedness on the snowy roads filled me with confidence.
