I picked up our new Roomster on Friday. A young girl hit the rear bumper on the offside this afternoon (Sunday) and put a split in it. She said that she had had to brake hard and and slid into it. I was parked outside my mum's house, thankfully the girl who was driving was honest enough to come to the door and own up to doing it. How many people would do that in this day and age.

Regarding the car, am I going to regret not specifying ESP? I meant to add it to the options but stupidly didn't.

ESP is standard on the SE, as I had similar thoughts after ordering my Roomster. I think you can upgrade to different versions of ESP on the options list. Not sure what the differences are?

That's the mistake I made, it is only standard on the 1.2 TSI DSG. When we were ordering I mentioned the ESP Plus to the salesman and he virtually talked me out of it and I forgot to ask about ESP!
